David Hill Vineyard

David Hill Vineyard was originally the Reuter's Farm, homesteaded in 1883. Some grapes were planted on the original homestead for personal use. Prohibition in 1913 took care of those plantings, and it wasn't until the late 90s that more vines were planted.

Named after the chairman of the territorial government of Oregon, David Hill Vineyard is now 50% Pinot noir, 10% Riesling, 15% Pinot gris, 10% Chardonnay, and 10% Gewurztraminer, with a smattering of other varietals. Purchased in 1992 and planted in 1999 by Milan and Jean Stoyanov, the vines are tended by Vineyard Manager Jason Bull.

The Pinot gris we purchase is Clone 152 on 101-14 Rootstock. We also purchase some lovely Gewurztraminer that is blended into our Blanchefleur dessert wine.
